Ani Takidze was born in the a family of musicians in Tbilisi (Georgia), where she studied at the Music School for gifted children and later at the State Conservatory with Prof. N Khubutia. After the graduation she was awarded a scholarship of the „ Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst“ (DAAD) and came to Germany, where she took postgraduate courses at the Munich „Hochschule für Musik und Theater“ with Prof. F.Massinger and Prof. H. Deutsch.

Ani Takidze is an active concert pianist. She is in demand as a soloist as well as achamber musician. She regularly gives recitals and plays with Symphony Orchestras such as: Munich Symphony , Nürnberg Symphony, Trier Symphony, Dubrovnik symphony Otchestra, Tbilisi State Symphony, Philarmonic and Chamber Orchetsra „Sinfonietta“ (Georgia) , Chamber Orchestra „Ricercare“ (Saarbrücken) etci Her musical partners have included such as Vilde Frang, Kim Kashkasian, Andreas Brantelied , Vladimir Mendelssohn, Hiroyiki Iwaki, etc.
She regularly performs torether with her father Revaz Takidze.(Conductor)
She is laureate of the first Svjatoslav Richter international competition in Moscow (2005).
She has participated in several important international festivals like: Oleg Kagan festival in Kreuth (Germany), Gidon Kremer chamber music festival in Lockenhaus (Austria), „Autumn Tbilisi“, Contemporary Music Festival (Tbilisi).
She gave master classes at the Jakarta Conservatory(Indonesien), in Beijing at Normal University, Tbilisi State Conservatory and at the Music School for gifted children.
